Job Description: Individual should have several years of experience working either as Architect or Engineer, preferably in the shipping industry.
Planning of Projects:
Individual should have the ability to collect all needed information for Cruise Ship Companies in order to compile estimated cost and prepare detailed quote for refurbishment jobs. This entails knowledge of material cost, labor cost and management cost.
Good knowledge of CAD, being able to calculate areas for quoting purposes, as well as creating drawings for projects.
Ability to compile comprehensive and detailed master list for turnkey projects, which will be passed on to Purchasing Department for procurement of materials needed.
Ability to compile complete tools & consumables list for each project, so it can be passed on to Warehouse Department for putting together everything needed.
Organize together with Purchasing, Logistics and Warehouse departments the delivery of all material, tools and consumables to the job site on time
Organize the needed manpower for the project, contact labor providers and compile comprehensive list of personnel needed for each project, so that the Office Manager can prepare all manifests and travel documents
Execution of the Projects:
Individual should be able to travel anywhere in the world without restrictions, in order to supervise the execution of projects
Ability to understand the sequence of events in each project in order to organize the manpower and delegate the work
Professional communication with the client in order to report on a daily bases project update and completion targets
Professional communication with our Logistics and Site Managers in order to delegate them tasks according to the project needs
Professional communication with the General Manger of the company and reporting on project management before, during and post execution
Follow up with and guidance provided Accounting Department for invoicing to the client and payment to suppliers and sub-contractors
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or Architecture. Fluent in English
